My web host of choice: Liquidweb, ThePlanet and HTTPME

Since running an online business I have been with many web hosts. I started out with a small account at hostway, moving to rockethost.com and several others – finally ending up ThePlanet. I am locked into a year long contract for now and I am fine with that. ThePlanet has been provided great service. A friend of mine who was in the market at around the same I was, went with Liquidweb.com due to their full-support option. That option is not available for such low price at ThePlanet and he needed someone to be available for him 24/7. We had dinner the other day and talked about our web hosting options.

I have to say – even though I am very happy with ThePlanet.com, LiquidWeb.com would be my other choice. My friend was praising them the entire time we talked about it. His uptime was great and the support issues he had we solved to his satisfaction. Pretty cool if you ask me. Since I am the one running a large web hosting resource website and many folks know, I am always asked (online and offline) which web host to recommend. I can’t really tell you what the best host is for a single domain account and there is probably not that much difference, but I can tell you that my hosting choices are pretty solid when it comes to larger volume AND Uptime. Currently I recommend ThePlanet.com and LiquidWeb.com for dedicated servers and HTTPME.com for reseller accounts. Check them out and let me know which one you like and why.
