Running and how it helps you to be more successful

I guess I can now officially call myself a “Runner”. I have been running since April (up to 7 Miles/57 minutes) and really enjoy it. Initially I started out on the treadmill, but lately I am finding myself running outdoors even at temperatures at around 30 degrees (Fahrenheit / I think it is around Minus 1 in Celsius). I even spent money on professional runners gear for the colder temperatures. Running outdoors is different compared to pounding the miles on a treadmill. You experience wind, maybe rain or snow, and depending on where you live or which way you go lots of hills with up and downs. I live in Colorado at around 6,000 ft. altitude and the terrain has lots of hills to offer. It’s challenging, but rewarding at the same time.

One thing I like about running is the fact that you get away from everything and it frees up your mind. While running I either completely clear out my mind and just listen to some good classic rock on my ipod and enjoy the nature or I use the time to think about projects I am working on and how to improve my web income. Running is also a great way to force you to reach new levels. Running outdoors for several miles you cannot stop and give. I mean how do you get home? Call for help? I translate this strength into my business. Giving up in the middle of a project is not an option for me. I usually pull things thru and finish what I started. And it also feels great to reach certain goals and milestones while running and this translates into being highly motivated.

It is also a proven fact that running releases endorphins that improve your mood and you just feel better. Running also decreases stress hormones and it really can help you not just health-wise, but also in regards to your online business (assuming you are an affiliate marketer or run an online business). So, do you run and if you do – how much/far?
