Tax Season Starts now

by Christoph on January 6, 2009

Tax is starting right now. If you are an affiliate marketer, this is a great time to make some dough by selling taxt return related products. Tax season ends on April 15 each year (unless it is a weekend day).

I went through my final accounting work last night and finished up my books for the year 2008. The numbers are in and they are better than expected. The last quarter of 2008 turned out to be very profitable for me and overall my net profit went up about 35% compared to 2007. That means I will have to pay a little more to the tax man, Uncle SAM. I consider that Ok at this point. Sure, I could try to find more tax deductions or become really “creative” in reducing my tax liability, but on the other side paying more taxes means that you did something right and that you have more money in your pocket. Taxes are important for our country to function and even though I hate paying taxes, I do see my responsibility, too. Ok, let’s not go crazy with that – it all has to stay in consideration. ;) Let’s just say that for now I am Ok with the amount of taxes I have to pay.

I’ll have to do a couple more business related things to get 2009 going. Every year I am starting my email and calendar from scratch to be better organized. I archive stuff I do not need during the year and I trash whatever needs to be trashed. I got a good plan of what I want to do in 2009 and I am eager to get started and to see the results of that work.

PS: This posting is published with 3 days delay. I meant to post it earlier, but just got to busy.
