Update on Vonage

by Christoph on January 9, 2009

Last night the phone rang and Vonage Support called. I had a ticket opened via email and done some troubleshooting via email – with no luck. Then it got quiet for a day until the phone rang. The support engineer picked up where the email support engineer had left off and took care of the problem. The problem was solved and I told them to close the ticket.

This was a great support experience – especially compared to the other issue that is still kinda open (see my Vonage posting here for details). Since we had the voice quality issue I am checking every day and so far (knock on wood) all is working as advertised.

So, we’re close to one month now on VOIP and I think this will be good. I love the features Vonage has to offer – especially that I can get a copy of my voicemail via email and listen to it on my Blackberry Smartphone. It’s also very convenient that I can do everything on my account online. The old online “Account Manager” of my old landline carrier was pretty bad compared to what Vonage does.

So, with this one support issue closed I give another two thumbs up for Vonage.
