Article Marketing revisited

by Christoph on February 2, 2009

I am in content mood and have been writing a lot of content this last month and I think February will work the same way. I mainly publish my articles on my own websites, but I am also reserving some as unique content that I am submitting to a few different article directories. In the past I used Ezinearticles.com a lot, but they have become a pain in the butt lately approving articles. I do not know if it is just one or two reviewers in particular, but the time and efforts to “fix” an article is not worth it dealing with Ezinearticles.com anymore. I submit my articles – if they get approved fine, if not there are tons of other article directories who love good content.

In one of the affiliate marketing blogs I am reading the writer wrote about a service who submits articles of yours to many article directories for you. The service can be found at articlemarketer.com. I did a little more research and found mixed reviews. Some people were complaining about the customer support of articlemarketer.com, but overall the feedback was Ok or good in regards to the actual article redistribution. So, I decided to give it a try.

I should have known better was my reaction when I was unable to confirm my account. No matter which email address I used the confirmation emails did not arrive. I tried free email accounts as well as personal email addresses on domains where I control SPAM filters and that stuff. So, I opened a ticked to hopefully get the issue resolved with customer support. The initial response from them was to do what I had already done (updating spam filter white lists, use different email addresses, etc.). So, I felt kind of stuck. I asked them to manually activate my account. It took a little response time, but on Saturday my account was activated this way – 2.5 days after opening a paid account. :)

This evening I submitted my first article for distribution. I am interested to see how that turns out. I will provide more updates later on about my experience with articlemarketer.com. For now I have to say that things are looking up. The service is not cheap, but if it turns out to be good I might stick to it.
