Howdy folks. I just got back last night from a week-long stay in Anchorage, Alaska. This was my first visit to Alaska ever and it is actually the 44th US State that I have seen. My goal is it to make it to all 50 states by the time I reach the age of 50. So, I was very excited to get up there and had a great time. Alaska is a weird place and I guess I has to do with the daylight or non-existence of daylight during winter time. Well, it was July and there was plenty of daylight. We came back to the hotel in Anchorage on Friday night at around 11.30 PM and the sun was just going down. The Hotel, a Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites in Anchorage was a good choice. Free wired and wireless Internet, a small fitness center, a small swimming pool with Jacuzzi, free continental breakfast and a good location – we really liked it and I would definitely stay there again.
The weather did let us down a little bit with quite some rain the first weekend we were there, but it gradually improved during the week. We some animals, went on a Glacier Cruise out of Whittier, AK and drove towards Denali. Brought some smoked salmon and some fresh (now frozen) salmon back home as well as some Reindeer Sausage. It was the first time for me to eat Reindeer and the sausage was awesome. If you have desire for good food, visit the “Orso” restaurant in downtown Anchorage and eat their Paella. Awesome! If you want to buy smoked Salmon and Reindeer Sausage – buy where the locals buy it – at Costco. They get their stuff from the same place that runs a well-known store for the tourists. So, you can buy it with a 50% markup or you buy it at Costco for a better price. It’s great to have gotten this tip from a local friend up there.
My Internet ventures were on hold for the week and I only did the bare minimum with checking stats, answering – stuff like that.
I know things have been quiet around here. I am spending more time working than ever and so the blog has to wait it out. What am I working on? I am actually working on some Adsense related stuff, also doing a lot of link building (white hat), as well as are working on Payday Loan stuff and auto insurance leads. I still recommend to check out PPC Coach for PPC Adwords Training – the knowledge that comes out of that neck of the woods is still amazing. I spent some times in the mornings and evenings reading the forum while away to grab ideas and to let my mind go wild on them so to speak. Well worth it. Read my PPC Coach Review if you like. That’s it for now. Take it easy.
