New Month #1 at PPC-Coach

I have written about PPC-Coach quite a few times and I am personally a member since summer last year. Even though I am a little less active on the PPC side of things at the moment for various reasons, I still maintain my membership as there is a ton of information available at the PPC-Coach Support forums.

Then, last week the coach released a new version of the Month #1. What is that at all you might ask? Well, for every month you subscribe to PPC Coach, the coach publishes a certain PPC tactic. Once you are past Month #1, a new chapter (forum) opens and you gain access to the next PPC tactic. This gives you time to learn, to read, to digest, and to take action.

So, the new month #1 became available last week which now brings month #1 to 3 different PPC tactics all together. Meaning – you can choose from 3 different PPC tactics to learn PPC Marketing. Now, when I started my subscription with PPC Coach there was only 1 Month #1 and so you can tell that the coach is doing a lot for the subscribers. I definitely learned a lot and still are.

If you want to learn PPC Marketing, you should definitely check out the PPC-Coach website. There are video tutorials, custom software only available to members and a large forum with tons of people pitching in and helping out. All you have to do is to be willing to work. PPC Marketing is work and not a get rich quick thing. But if you get it, you can earn thousands of dollars per day.

SpeedPPC – It does not end after your Purchase

I already wrote about how happy I am with SpeedPPC several times (SpeedPPC Review 1; SpeedPPC Review 2; SpeedPPC Review 3). Today I wanted to mention an ongoing benefit of owning SpeedPPC. That benefit is PPC Training. Once you are an owner of SpeedPPC you get access to an extensive of set of training videos that Reena of SpeedPPC has created. Almost every month a new training video comes out – helping you to improve your PPC efforts.

Sure, you can read a few dozens of blogs and maybe find the same information, but here it comes extracted and nicely packaged in an online video. It comes from the people who know PPC and they add more information to really make it a great resource. Once you watch the video and have questions, you can head over to the SpeedPPC support forums and ask questions. The forums are sometimes a little quiet, but overall you get a ton of information that you would miss out on if you are not a customer owning SpeedPPC.

So, if you are in the market for a software that makes your PPC efforts easier, definitely consider SpeedPPC. Your customer experience will not end after downloading the software – it will actually just start so that you can really make your investment work for you.

I also recommend PPC Training by PPC Coach as an add-on. It currently costs $49 CAN per month, but is well worth the expense. The PPC Coach teaches you several different approaches to PPC – including a very well documented search campaign strategy that almost guarantees PPC Marketing success by itself. Please note: PPC Coach is not for everyone. You will need to work for your success.

Yahoo YSM Reporting Problems

April 10, 2009 by Christoph

For the last few days I am being frustrated by the inability of Yahoo YSM to provide proper reporting. Reporting is running by 24-36 hours. It is almost impossible to do PPC campaign tuning without losing a lot of money. This really sucks and I wonder if it is just me or if more people are having the same problem at the moment. I do have a ticket open with Yahoo’s support, but they have not been very helpful.

We wanted to let you know that we are currently experiencing a reporting delay in accounts when trying to view traffic. The information in your account appears to have been last updated on 4/9/09 at 10:15 AM MDT. This is why it appears that your account is not running but we assure you that your ads are still displaying. There is no current estimated time that this issue will get resolved. We sincerely appreciate your patience while we work on this.

I might have to stop my campaigns with Yahoo and spend my money somewhere else. If I would be Yahoo and this is one of the few areas where the company makes money, I would not sit there and provide stupid replies to paying customers like the one shown above. At the time when their response came in my account was about 26 hours behind.

Maybe it is not a problem, but a feature (to increase Yahoo profits by making it harder for advertisers to fine-tune their campaings and to spend less …)?!

SpeedPPC Review – March 2009 Update

After not having touched my PPC stuff for a while I spend a couple of hours last night bringing up new landing pages and building a few campaigns. I also upgraded SpeedPPC to the latest version – which was a snap. The software continues to run very stable and pushes out new PPC campaigns in notime. The copy ad feature is great as you can easily duplicate and change your ads for setting up split-testing within your campaigns.

I have to go back and look at the list of keyword extensions more often. I noticed one list that would have saved me a lot of time when expanding a campaign a few weeks back. Oh, well – it’s still good to know that so many list extensions are included.

The training videos that Reena from SpeedPPC sends out are really helpful, too. If you are new to PPC and want to fully utilize SpeedPPC, those helpful PPC training videos are for you. The February video covers misspellings. As an example – Google captured 592 different misspellings used by 22.9% of searchers for the search term “Bittney Spears” (ooops – did I misspell that?) ;) . You get the idea what a training video specifically about misspellings can help you and then use that knowledge within SpeedPPC. Good Stuff.

Don’t have SpeedPPC? Visit them here to see all the features.

The best PPC Keyword and Conversion Tracking Tool

February 19, 2009 by Christoph

Doing affiliate marketing via PPC advertising requires quite some efforts. It’s not just done with uploading a campaign and a landing page. You will need to track on the keyword level which keyword converts a visitor and which landing page gives you the highest conversions. So, a good keyword and conversion tracking tool is essential to PPC success.

I am using 2 tracking tools at the moment. One is home-grown, while the other one part of the tools provided by PPC Coach for members of his PPC Training Programs. My home-grown solution is pretty solid and I use Excel in the end to make my conclusions based on the data collected. The tracking tool from PPC Coach is more sophisticated and comes with a whole bunch of bells and whistles that make PPC marketing almost a breeze. I am slowly migrating some campaigns over to Coach’s tracking tool due to the split testing and offer rotating features the tool offers.

PPC Coach does not allow to share too many details, so I am just highlighting the top pieces here. You can track to the keyword level how each keyword performs, which landing page it used and which rotated offer the visitor was send to. Armed with this data you can optimize a PPC campaign to the level where you are making a nice chunk of money. The keyword tracking tool is free for members of the PPC Coach training program and by itself well worth the money for the monthly subscription. If you are struggling with tracking202 or your own tracking solution I recommend to check out PPC Coach for at least one month to examine the keyword tracking tool.

SpeedPPC Updated

SpeedPPC has been updated to version 3.10 by the manufacturer and is now even better. The main feature that I have been looking forward to use is the support for the Microsoft Adcenter Desktop Software. Microsoft Adcenter has released a software tool similar to the Google Adwords Editor that allows you to build all your campaigns offline and then conveniently upload them into Adcenter. Before the update happened you had to save the CSV output and partially build the Adcenter campaign by hand before uploading Ads and Keywords. So, that is so much easier now. Two thumbs for SpeedPPC.

SpeedPPC is not cheap when purchasing it, but I can honestly say even if you do only moderate PPC marketing volume, the software pays for itself. This was one of the best investments I have made related to my PPC marketing efforts. SpeedPPC makes it very easy to pump new PPC campaigns that otherwise would take forever to build by hand.

Check out SpeedPPC here for all the details.

I also recommend you check out PPC Coach for PPC training. PPC Coach is one of the best PPC Marketing Training Programs out there. Combined with SpeedPPC you might just call yourself a PPC Marketing Force in no time.
